About the Alaska Ocean Pulse
Alaska's marine environment is one of the most dynamic and rapidly changing on Earth. The Gulf of Alaska and Bering Sea are experiencing faster warming than global averages, with profound effects on marine food webs, wildlife populations, and the communities that depend on them.
The Alaska SeaLife Center's ocean monitoring work contributes real-time biological and oceanographic data to Alaska's ocean observation network — helping scientists, managers, fishermen, and the public understand what's happening in Alaska's seas.
